The Fitsom Process
Fitsom is designed to produce a more balanced body and a stronger connection between your physical self and mind. Our Fitsom certified trainers are dedicated to understanding the latest research on the body’s muscular and nervous systems. Although this is a complex task, we break it down step-by-step for you in our specially crafted program.
Fitsom Foundations Phase One:
At the heart of the Fitsom program is our Foundations class. You won’t find this class at any other fitness facility. Our trademark Foundation class teaches you the techniques you will need to succeed on your path to greater physical and nervous system health. During the first phase, you will be introduced to the discipline of self-care through breathing, self-massage, mobility and the development of body awareness. By preventing injuries while managing any current limitations, you will be able to lessen the chances of any potential setbacks. You will also learn proper form and standard movement patterns that are the core and primary movements of all our group exercise classes.
Fitsom Foundations Phase Two:
The second phase in your journey is all about reprogramming your body’s structure and ability to move with intent and power. This class is designed to build upon the primary movements that you mastered in phase one. In this class, we work on improving and correcting the body’s natural biomechanics by teaching exercises in progressive steps. First, we work with you to slow down the movements; then we speed them up once you have begun to develop awareness of proper alignment. At the end of this class, exercises are able to be performed with precision and power and used in subsequent classes to build upon more complex exercises.

A few months into our process you will feel like a new person, no longer dealing with aches and pains, standing straighter, with excess energy, and more mindful of your thoughts and actions. Now that your body is functioning in its natural state, we bring in our Supplemental classes – strength and metabolic, and self-care – to challenge your body and help you reach your lifestyle improvement goals.
The Last Phase Three: Joining the Group Exercise Classes
After 8 weeks of preparation in our Foundations class which involved opening the body, getting the stiffness out, re-learning to stand up straight, and alleviating aches and pains…. it’s officially on!
It’s time to kick it up a level…or 3! You will be challenged when you activate deep core muscles, excel at breathing and respiration techniques, and enhance your ability to stay present in the group exercise classes…and you will love every moment of it. You’ll never be bored because classes are dynamic and blend several exercise disciplines.
